Congrats to Steve Peat ... another win in the bag!
So, they came, the saw, they rode and Steve Peat and Jess Stone conquered. A great event damped only slightly by the weather saw many of the top downhill riders in the world descend on Ae for the British Champs. The track was "challenging" to say the least, those that ride regularly at Ae know it's a hard course to begin with and then when you throw in some heavy rain, well the big boys need to ride hard or die!! Some great racing and great runs took place and Mr Steve Peat proved once again why he's the daddy of downhill as he took another scalp and claimed victory at Ae to become the Britsh Downhill Champion 2010. Jess Stone showed that she can mix it and has a bright future ahead of her as she took the ladies title. Well done to all the riders and the crowd that turned out despite the weather deserve a pat on the back as well ...

Gary Fisher Mamba 29er (rrp £625)
Why Ride a 29er?
The reasons to go big when it comes to wheel size are well accepted these days:
· more momentum
· more stability
· more traction
Larger wheels roll over obstacles more easily due to decrease in approach angle and are less prone to sinking in soft material such as sand and mud. The longer contact patch increases cornering and straight line traction and 29er bikes offer taller riders a more "natural" frame geometry
