1st November 2008 - Night Riding at Ae. We will be starting night rides at Ae on the 12th November. If you fancy joining us for a dark o'clock ride come along at 6pm Wednesday 12th for the first ride. We plan to bike for about an hour, then get some coffee & cakes whilst Steve throws open an "Ask the Mechanic" session. Check the Ae Forum for updates. Lights will be available for hire but these are limited so get in touch and book them if you need them.

 

30th October 2008 - Demo Bikes arrive. The first of our demo bikes have come into the shop. If you want to try out some top end rides before commiting to buying them get yourself down to Ae. We have a couple of Big Hits in and a shiny medium Roubaix for the roadies.

 

18th October 2008 - Ae Uplift returns to Ae. Tally has started the uplift Scotland service again at Ae. Downhillers will now be able to get 10 lifts a day to the top of the DH course and the new Shredder freeride course. Check the website or the Ae Forum for dates.

 

3rd September 2008 - Ae Cafe goes Wireless. If you travel to Ae with your laptop you'll now be able to make use of the cafes new wireless facility. It's free to use for all our customers.

 

27th August 2008 - Ae Bike Shop is now an official Specialized Test Centre. We will be getting a range of bikes though the doors towards the end of October and you will be able to demo several models before you commit to buying one. From Big Hits to Stumpjumpers we'll have a great selection, we've even got a Roubaix Expert coming in for the Roadies!

 

1st August 2008 - Ae Guides Available - A professional guiding service is now available from Ae if you want to get out and about on the best trails at Ae and further afield. Check out the Ae Guides page for more details.

 

26th July 2008 - Part Time Cook/Assistant needed to work in Ae Cafe. 5th July 2008 - Photo Competition! Send in some snaps of you or your mates/ family etc riding at Ae. We're looking to frame some photographs and hang them in Ae Bike Shop. We've got half a dozen hardback copies of the book "Stumpjumper - 25 Years of Mountain Biking" to give away to the best 6 photos we receive! Get your camera out and start snapping. 4th July 2008 - Ae Bike Shop is now an official Shimano Service Centre. You now know your bike is in good hands when you bring it to Ae for a service or to get it fixed. The shop is also filling up after our latest deliveries of more kit from Specialized, Camelbak, Nuun, Muc Off, Hope,etc etc. Lots more ordered for next week.

 

21st June 2008 - Ae Bike Shop opened today! The shop has a range of Bikes for Sale & Hire from Specialized as well as a selection of clothing and accessories. We've everything you need for a day on the trails here at Ae with kit from Specialized, Avid, Shimano and others. Come and check us out next time your down at Ae Forest.

 

14th June 2008 - The workshop is now open for emergency repairs. Our Cytech qualified mechanic Steve "The Stanks" Stanker is now on hand to sort out any problems you might have with your bike when you visit Ae Forest. A whole load of supplies will start arriving over the next week which will give Steve the parts he needs to repair and service your trusted steed. Steve is a first class mechanic so if you need your mountain bike tuned or your just looking for some advice call in at Ae and speak to him.

 

3rd June 2008 - The café is open!! On Monday 2nd June the Mayor of North Vancouver, Richard Walton, was at Ae to officially open the café. A feast of great food then followed and everyone there was treated to a Mediterranean Spanish Buffet laid on by Mary and her kitchen team. The first delivery of bikes from Specialized also arrived just as the speeches were finishing so it won't be long until the shop opens.

 

29th May 2008 - We have been working very hard over the last week to get the café ready for an offical launch next week. The good news is we will be opening the café for business as of Tuesday 3rd June. We're having an official opening ceremony on Monday and the café will be open for normal business from Tuesday onwards. Our catering manager Mary will be on hand to ensure your well fed and watered! The Bike shop will follow soon.

 

16th May 2008 - We are aiming now for a June opening. There have been some delays but we are hopeful the much anticipated opening is imminent!

14th March 2008 - The building work is now finished and the shop and cafe are taking shape! We are planning an April opening.

 

5th March 2008 - Specialized dealership confirmed!! We will be carrying a brilliant range of Specialized bikes, clothing and accessory. Other brands will also be stocked.
