Who are the motley crew who call themselves Ae Guides?

First up is Graeme Scott ...

Graeme is into everything to do with bikes! He's been cycling for over 25 years and mountain biking for over 15 years. A former national triathlete Graeme has raced and biked all over the world. He's a qualified Mountain Bike Leader as well as holding an MIA (Mountain Instructor Award) so you know you're in safe hands when you head out with Graeme. He spent 18 years in the military and incidentally is a two time World Dog Sledding Champion.

Next on the list is Julie Cartner ...

Julie is also a qualified Mountain Bike Leader who has been riding for over 10 years and she knows all the best routes in Scotland. A former Cross Country and Downhill racer Julie was Scottish Champion in 2005 in the XC Series. She also got a podium place in her very first DH race which she is quite rightly proud of! She ridden extensively around the world and clocked up routes from Spain to Australia. She loves her singlespeed bike and most of the time rides with her trail dog Jenny! Oh yeah and if anyone fancies their chances she will challenge you to a race down a particular off piste trail in some local woods. It will cost you a beer if you loose!

Ae Taster - Let one of Ae Guides take you out and show you the best of the trails at Ae. You'll be safe in the knowledge that you are with someone who knows the area and can mix and match the routes to give you a fantastic experience of Ae Forest.

7's Weekend - Ae Guides can get out and about on two or more of the 7 Stanes centres over a weekend. Starting on our home turf at Ae, you'll get to ride the best of the forest before heading off to another of the 7 Stanes for some more riding pleasure.

The Dumfries Triangle - Making use of the great geography we have in the area around Ae this two day adventure will see you ride at Ae, Mabie & Drumlanraig. If you don't have an amazing experience riding these trail centres you may as well give up mountain biking as it doesn't get much better than this!

All of Ae Guides are fully qualified mountain bike leaders, have current first aid certificates and are very experienced riders.
